I bought a biotech in early June called Human Genome (HGSI). They have been working on a Lupus drug and Wall Street analysts have been skeptical. Results of the testing of the drug were announced last night and they were very positive. I was able to sell the stock at $10.09 this morning for a very nice profit.
Could I have predicted this would happen? Absolutely not. So did I get lucky? To some extent, although my wife and I did the hard work of researching the trade in June so it wasn't all luck.
Now, if I can just find another couple of trades like this......................
