McMillan on Options (a Review)

Lawrence McMillan is the author of the classic “Options as a Strategic Investment”. His second book, “McMillan on Options”, is every bit as informative as his first book, but is very different.

The book starts with a history of listed option trading in the United States and a description of various option strategies. This part of the book contains numerous anecedotes about some of the crazy things traders have done with options. These stories are sometimes funny and always bizarre. Folks, don’t let these things happen to you!

Another chapter in the book describe possible ways of using options to predict future events in the market. Check this section of the book out and see how much of the ideas McMillan has along these lines can be used in your own trading.

The book concludes with a couple of chapters which detail trading systems that can be used to trade options.

This is a very enjoyable read which is full of good information and is really different from the author’s original book. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in trading options.
