We had the NYSE (NYX) and Las Vegas Sands (LVS) on our radar pre-opening as possible day trades. Both gapped higher on the opening. NYX came back down to our buy point so we bought it at $27.198 a share. LVS has not yet been bought, and given the lateness of the hour, we probably will not buy it today.
Both stocks took a big hit in yesterday's sell-off and I expected both to rebound today. Since we expect a correction here, any purchase we make for the time being is a day trade only.
The NYX purchase was timed using RSI to indicate a very short-term oversold condition. So far it is working well. I will use RSI to time my exit as well.
