Today's Trading

The futures recovered substantially in the pre-market and we began to wonder if this was really going to be a down day. So we began to look for some buys, rather than sells.

We put Research in Motion on our list thinking that it might bounce back after a few really bad down days. The same logic applied to our short listing the New York Stock Exchange (NYX). WYNN is now at its 200 day moving average line and we considered it due for a bounce as well.

Sure enough the market dropped on the open and began clawing its way back. We tried to buy RIMM, but it simply went straight up after the open and never gave us a pullback. The NYX and WYNN did pull back however and we bought both of them. WYNN was purchased at $53.79 and NYX was added to our portfolio at $25.68 a share. WYNN is now at $55.82 and the NYX is at $25.69; RIMM is now up $3.10 and is irritating us!

We also bought some shares in Ford as a long term trade. We were impressed with all of the news that came out yesterday on the stock.

Now we need to properly manage our two day trades. The Dow has recovered to be down only 9 points, so we need to take our profits somewhere between now and 4:00. Let's see what the afternoon brings.
