We took a position in Corning (GLW) this morning. The stock broke through resistance at $17 on heavy volume and then pulled back from its high at $17.22; it is currently at $17.05, where we bought a thousand shares.
After the last crash, we began buying Corning at $1.67 and eventually owned over 10,000 shares with an average price of a bit over $8. We sold the stock at slightly over $24, making it easily the best trade of our careers. We do not expect this trade in Corning to work as well, but it does look promising.
Also, we took a small position on Monday in Apple Computer. Right now we are basically flat on this trade.
